Contractors are not charged an Epic Staff service fee. Establishments pay a standard 25% service fee on contractor pay. Applicable GST and QST are added to Epic Staff’s fee. Contractor taxes may also apply when a contractor is registered to charge them.

Does Epic Staff employ contractors?
Contractors use Epic Staff to seek and accept service contracts. A person’s legal or tax status depends on the facts of the working relationship and applicable law, not on a label used on this website.
What information can an establishment review?
Profiles can include selected roles, requested rates, self-reported skill answers, experience recorded through completed contracts, peer reviews and an Epic Verified indicator where applied. Epic Verified is a platform status; Epic Staff does not publish a verification checklist or claim that every identity detail, skill, certification or work-eligibility requirement is independently verified.
When is a contractor paid?
Payment begins after completed work and confirmed time. The payment provider and financial institution affect transfer timing. Check the current timing shown in the app, and contact support if a payment is delayed or fails.
What happens if a contract is cancelled?
Timing, who cancelled and whether a contractor was already confirmed can affect the result. The current policy shown in the app and applicable user agreement govern. Contact support for emergencies or a disputed cancellation.
